When I was young & had trouble sleeping, my mom would give me a concoction of hot milk, a cinnamon stick, and sugar.
I never understood why it worked but it never failed! Between the warmth and pleasant taste, I knocked out immediately.
As an adult, I have learned that it was due to linalool in the cinnamon!
